North Mac Neighbors Feeding Neighbors is a community-driven effort to ensure that no family in our area goes hungry. By uniting local businesses, organizations, and residents, we’re building a network of compassion.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors, one meal at a time.
Servicing Virden, Girard, Thayer, Nilwood and Lowder.
North Mac Neighbors Feeding Neighbors is dedicated to supporting families across the North Mac communities by providing access to food, essential household items, and seasonal support. As a committee of the Route 66 Virden Historical Society, our work strengthens the community we love by ensuring no neighbor goes without the basics they need.
We proudly support residents throughout the North Mac school district communities, including Virden, Girard, Nilwood, and surrounding rural areas. Our focus is simple: neighbors helping neighbors.

Our collection includes thousands of artifacts, photographs, and documents that tell the story of our community over the past 200 years. From early settlers to modern-day developments, our exhibits offer a glimpse into what life was like in our area at different points in history.

At Route 66 Virden Historical Society, we offer a wide range of programs and events that cater to history enthusiasts of all ages. From school field trips to lectures and workshops, our goal is to share our love of history with as many people as possible.
